Air fryers have quietly become the most-used appliance in a lot of kitchens, and these two are the ones people actually argue about. The Ninja DZ201 is the model that put dual-basket cooking on the map: two separate 4-quart drawers you can run independently or synced. The Cosori TurboBlaze is the newer single-basket challenger, with a claimed 9-in-1 mode set and a PFAS-free ceramic coating. They are not aimed at the same cook, which is exactly why the comparison is worth doing properly instead of just looking at the star rating.
Our analysis
The Ninja wins on raw flexibility. If you have ever tried to roast chicken wings in one basket while air-frying fries in another, you know the value of DualZone: the two drawers finish on the same timer without you babysitting them. At 8 quarts total it is also the better fit for a household of four. The trade-off is footprint and price. It is a wide, heavy unit, and at 131 EUR it costs roughly 65% more than the Cosori. The Cosori fights back on cooking modes. Nine presets (including roast, bake, broil and dehydrate) cover more techniques than the Ninja's six, and the TurboBlaze fan design does crisp the outside of food noticeably faster at the same temperature. The PFAS-free claim matters if you are avoiding forever chemicals in non-stick coatings, though both brands use ceramic here. One real limitation of the Cosori is the single 6-quart basket: cooking a main and a side means doing them in sequence, not together. On temperature range the Ninja goes lower (40 C for gentle warming/reheating) while the Cosori starts at 90 C, so the Ninja is the only one of the two you could use for proofing dough or very low heat.
Conclusion
Neither is the wrong buy, they just solve different problems. Get the Ninja DZ201 when you regularly cook for more than two people and want two things done at once without thinking about it. Get the Cosori TurboBlaze when you cook for one or two, want more cooking modes, and would rather keep 50 EUR in your pocket. For most solo households and couples, the Cosori is the smarter everyday purchase; for families, the Ninja earns its price.
